The pink ghost Posti and the chubby dragon Stein are the good ghosts of the castle of Posterstein. Their main activity is to haunt the old castle - and once in a while to scare the museum's visitors. But one day they discover that they are not the only poltergeists in the castle. The knight's armour starts to run riot in the museum and moves. As the ghost are spying on the armour, they trace an old secret.

We still can se the old castle... Manor houses in the county of Altenburg (part II) The catalogue of the German Museum Burg Posterstein's new special exhibition deals with the history of about 40 former manor houses in the county of Altenburg (Thuringia) - some of them desappeared with the land reform in the Sowiet zone in 1945. In years of research in the local archives the author Gustav Wolf collected detailled information on the single manor houses' history. Wolfs results will be presentet in a sepcial exhibition from august 29th 2010 to january 31st 2011 in the Museum Burg Posterstein. Part of the exhibition is a film and an interaktive map. Marlene Hofmann was involved as a lector for the catalogue "Das alte Schloss sehn wir noch heut... Aus der Geschichte der Rittergüter im Altenburger Land" part II and as graphic designer for the exhibition. "Bonny Wundernuss" by Elisabeth Dommer (Thami Verlag 2009) - In German Not a hazelnut,
not a walnut, too - a wondernut is been stuck in the little bear
Bonnys coat. On his back grows a very strange flower. Bonnys sisters and
brothers and the other animals in the woods are making fun of him and his
mother thinks that he never will get rid of this nut. But because Bonny
really wants to get rid of it, he goes out into the big, wide world -
maybe there is somebody who knows how to seperate a bear from a wondernut.
What the little bear did not expect: The annoying nut was talking! And
they have adventures... - "Bonny Wundernuss" is the title of the new book
of the author Elisabeth Dommer from Altenburg, Thuringia / Germany.
Besides the story of Bonny Wundernuss the book contains two more exciting

Schüler schreiben für
Schüler Since almost ten years a
literature contest for pupils is hold in Altenburg, a town in Thuringia,
Germany. To show the best of those stories and poems to a broader public
this book was published in 2005. It contains a best off the years 2000 -
2003 and serves as a reading book in local schools. In connection with the
publication of this book a painting contest was hold as well - the best
paintings serve as illustrations. |

Maxi mit dem Koboldherzen "Maxi mit dem Koboldherzen" (Maxi with the goblin heart) is about many children's big dream: an own dog. But only few think of the problems that such a "goblin" can cause and too many give up after the first disappointments. Marlene Hofmann
illustrated the title and the rest of the book. The book was published in German
and Ukrainian!
