In team work with Antonia. Inspired by the current data privacy debate this novel is planned to be about the negative aspects of the internet. The main character is a young nurse in Hamburg. - The novel is in the "formation-phase" since 2010.

Work in process / title: Garden [in German]

My current project - since a few years - is going to be about a journey trough time. I guess it is going to be about some people from different centuries that travel in time, back into the middle ages. Because I did not write more than a few pages, there is not more to tell, yet.
But on the left side you already can see a picture I drew during the last years research process. (Last update: September 2009)

The first children's book of the two Thuringian authors Maja Quaas and Marlene Hofmann (title: "Ein Fall für Posti und Stein - Der Ritter, der keine Ruhe fand") was published in co-operation with Museum Burg Posterstein, Thuringia. The first edition of 50 books is already sold out.

"Ein Fall für Posti und Stein" is a mixture of detective story for children and knight- and history story. The pink ghost Posti and the chubby dragon Stein are the good ghosts of the castle of Posterstein. Their main activity is to haunt the old castle - and once in a while to scare the museum's visitors. But one day they discover that they are not the only poltergeists in the castle. The knight's armour starts to run riot in the museum and moves. As the ghost are spying on the armour, they trace an old secret.

Started writing in January 2002, this story's setting is the real world. It is about interpersonal relations and conflicts. I tried to link thoughtful, sad and depressed atmosphere with humour and play on words.
The story is about the girl Almut, whose half-way regulated life, is getting complicated as her mother is getting married again. Suddenly she has to share her mother and her room with Lukas, her new stepbrother. Lukas does not seem to be interested in anything and Almut hates him. But soon she realizes that she is not the only one with problems. She is torn between compassion and "egoism".

In November 2005 I finished this story (ca. 315.000 characters*), and I edited it a few times since.

This fantasy story is about the girl Lena and her shadow, as well as some combatants. I finished it in 2001 and it is about 295.000 characters* long.
Lena is a completely normal girl, until her shadow one day starts talking to her. Because this wasn't allowed, an angel is coming for him. God, who isn't God in real but named Illu, has send the angel. He wants to punish the shadow, which resists him. A daemon appears and everything becomes worse. Lena suddenly does not have a shadow anymore and while she is studied as a spectacular case in the local hospital, she finds out who her real friends are.

This is the first longer story I wrote on computer. As I only was 14 years old, style was shifting quite often during the writing process of those ca. 200 pages (ca. 642.000 characters*). "Sonnenzauber" is a quite typical fantasy story, one, that I never would like to write again - because there are already thousands of them.
It is about Tala, princess and later queen of a country called Sonnenzauber. It is one of four countries in a small world, which is consisting of three layers that lay above each other. All four countries are fighting against each other. Because Tala falls in love with her enemy's son (how could it be different?), she is fighting for peace. On her way she does not only make enemies, but also new friends of different nationalities.
